Exercise is just as important to the body as eating.  Maintaining a physical lifestyle will promote wellness and emotional stability.  Active people typically live longer than inactive people.  A conditioned body is capable of performing at a higher level than a non-conditioned body.  An active body thrives while a sedentary body deteriorates.

Exercising is a great form of weight management by burning extra calories.  Some activities burn more calories than others.  Performing an activity you enjoy makes it fun and sustainable.  If you don’t like what you’re doing, trust me, you won’t do it for long.  If you join a gym and hate lifting weights or running on a treadmill try kick boxing, yoga, spin, boot camp, Pilates or a step class.  There so many different activities to partake in.  Group exercises are fun and allow you to interact with others who share your interest.

Exercise also has the psychological effect of making it easier to stick to a diet.  Once you engage the fitness lifestyle you naturally feel better and want to eat healthier.  Exercising allows our bodies to do what they were designed to do -- perform.  Physically or intellectually, exercise creates a stronger body and mind
